The birth of pleasure

We are all born from someones pleasure. At least half of the equation of penis-in-vagina sex has involved someone orgasming (I am lumping orgasm with ejaculation here, however I acknowledge that they can occur separately; likewise with sperm donation), resulting in a pregnancy; and the creation of you. It’s a strange thought that we’re all the result of our fathers’ good time. But our mothers?… In this space, we see the ‘orgasm gap’ in full flight, but that is not the point of this – my virgin post – on my beautiful new blog (!).

Pleasure has led you, me, us, here. We grow in a warm dark muffled sea. Safely confined and restricted in our mothers’ womb. We worry about nothing. We don’t have thought yet. Our eyes are closed. We hear, faintly. We feel exquisite sublime connection without knowing what it is yet. We are present and nothing else exists, yet we are already existing; because of pleasure.

But like all of life, one cannot exist without its opposite. So after the pleasure we are created and grow from and within, we move into pain. The body that carries us starts to suffer. Suddenly we experience intense pressure around us; movement from the outside, when before there was nothing but only our own movements. There are often loud noises travelling through the body we grew inside of. There is agitation, fear, gripping, unless there is conscious and active breathing and relaxing with every wave that forces us closer to the unknown outside world.

Sometimes it is very sudden – there is light, a sharp space, cold air and we are grabbed and lifted up; dangling above our previous home. There are noises – from us and from the beings surrounding us. There is coldness and the shock of vast empty nothingness. Nothing exists yet for us, but to others we are now existing and quite alive. Born through suffering after coming into creation through pleasure.

I believe pleasure is our right. It’s a state we are naturally drawn to. It’s house our brains our hardwired – just like animals who bath in the sunlight, lick each other, devour their favourite food and fuck when the hormones are right. We’re born to fuck. Born to orgasm. Despite our sophisticated pre-frontal cortex, we are slaves to our own neural pathways, hormones and chemistry.

And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
